FAST AND EASY RENEWALS

Michigan Self-service Station offers a fast and easy way to renew your vehicle registration.

The average transaction takes less than two minutes. After a successful renewal, a new registration document and tab prints immediately.

REQUIREMENTS

You just need your renewal notice or license plate number and the last four digits of your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), along with a payment method (credit or debit card, or cash where available).

The station CAN:

• Renew an existing automobile, motorcycle or watercraft registration
• Print the updated registration card and license plate tab for automobiles and motorcycles. For watercraft, the tab will be mailed to you.

The station CAN'T:

• Update your address
• Renew your driver's license

WHEN CAN I RENEW?

You can renew up to 6 months before your expiration date and up to 10 months after your expiration date (late fees may apply).

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

  • The renewal fee, plus any applicable late fees
  • A $3.95 service fee for every vehicle renewed at the station
  • A 2.3% processing fee if paying by credit or debit card
