Fast and easy renewals

Self-service stations offer a fast and easy way to renew your license, ID or vehicle registration.

The station CAN:

Renew an existing automobile, motorcycle, snowmobile, or watercraft registration

Renew or replace an existing non-commercial driver’s license or ID if no new photo is required

Add a motorcycle endorsement to an eligible license

Register you to vote

Sign you up for the organ donor registry

Print the temporary license/ID or updated registration card and license plate tab for automobiles and motorcycles. For snowmobile or watercraft, the tab will be mailed to you

The station CAN'T:

Update your vehicle address

Renew or replace a commercial driver’s license (CDL)

Requirements

Vehicles

You need your renewal notice or license plate number and the
last four digits of your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

Licenses/IDs

You need your license/ID number.

Accepted payment methods: credit or debit card, or cash where available

How much does it cost?

The renewal fee, plus any applicable late fees

A $4.25 service fee for each license, ID and vehicle renewed at the station

A 2.3% processing fee if paying by credit or debit card

When can I renew?

For vehicles: You can renew up to 6 months before your expiration date and up to 10 months after your expiration date (late fees may apply).

For licenses/IDs: You can renew up to 1 year before your expiration date. If you renew after your expiration date, late fees may apply.
